The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative including angels, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

Episode 3 concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of characters who will separate from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd close behind.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in the region and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their status as important members in the influential clan could assist the group enter locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a life debt to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the family.

This results in them little choice but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

According to episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to assemble the Questers and Planners groups.

Viewers can anticipate finding out which players will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on next week.
